Mr Michael O'Brien joined the firm in 1973 and after 4 years at Chelsea College of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering and the West of Scotland Agricultural College, Auchincruive, came to the Cardiff office in 1977 where he gained considerable experience in all aspects of assessing and accident reconstruction.

In 1979 he moved to Swansea to extend his experience, particularly in the field of agricultural machinery and in 1982 opened the Bristol office where he remained for 3 years.

In 1985 he moved back to Cardiff to take over the running of the business from Mr Vincent O'Brien.

In 1987 he became Managing Director of W. D. Davies & Son Group.
